Can PDRM personnel apply for a cooperative loan?
Yes. Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel are among the public-sector groups that can apply for personal financing through our cooperative panels. What is typically assessed is income stability, sufficient salary-deduction room, and complete documentation. Actual requirements vary by product and by each cooperative panel policy.
How is repayment handled?
For most products, repayment is made through salary deduction. The deduction channel depends on the employer arrangement and the product applied for — some schemes use salary deduction via ANGKASA / Biro Perkhidmatan Angkasa (BPA), while some agencies have their own arrangements. The applicable channel is confirmed during the preliminary check.
To understand the mechanism, see What Is ANGKASA Salary Deduction and Cooperative Loan Repayment via Salary Deduction.
Service circumstances that affect an application
A preliminary check takes account of documents, service status, existing commitments and the applicable deduction channel. The service circumstances below are among those that commonly affect how an application is handled, whichever contingent or department you serve in.
- Transfers between contingents. A transfer to another station, district or contingent can delay collecting payslips and an employment confirmation letter. Make sure your correspondence address is current, and tell us early if a transfer is in progress.
- Shift patterns and duty hours. Shift schedules and field duty can make office-hours paperwork difficult. Our preliminary check can be handled over WhatsApp, so you do not need to attend in person at that stage.
- Rank and allowances. Deduction room depends on basic salary and existing commitments. Whether a particular service allowance counts toward the income assessment varies by cooperative panel.
- Police authority card. Alongside the ordinary identity card, some panels ask for an authority card as confirmation of service status.
For personnel still on probation or newly reported for duty, some panels set a minimum service period before an application can be assessed. That period varies by panel and is confirmed during the preliminary check.
Documents usually requested
- Copy of identity card.
- Authority card (depending on the panel).
- Recent payslips — the number of months depends on the panel.
- Salary statement or bank statement for the period the panel specifies.
- Additional documents that may be requested during review.
The full list is in Documents Required for a Cooperative Loan.
How much can I apply for?
The amount you qualify for is not a fixed figure. It depends on the panel product, your salary, existing commitments and the deduction room you have left after all other deductions are taken into account. Two applicants on the same salary can get different outcomes for this reason. Our free preliminary check gives you a realistic picture before any application is submitted.
